WinterfellCottages, Treehouses & A-Frame Cabins in Jibhi, Tirthan Valley
Where the Himalayas hold still.
Handcrafted cottages in the heart of cedar forest, at the edge of a UNESCO World Heritage wilderness.

Our Story
Where Ancient Forests
Still Remember Silence
Nestled at 2,590 metres above sea level, deep within the cedar and oak forests of jibhi, Winterfell is not a resort — it is a return. A return to slow mornings, cold mountain air, and the sound of the Tirthan river threading through the valley below.
Our all hand-built cottages sit within the Great Himalayan National Park buffer zone — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Each stay is a rare chance to be inside one of India's last untouched wildernesses, with every comfort quietly thought through.

The Destination
Jibhi, Himachal Pradesh
— A Valley Worth Knowing
Jibhi is a small village in the Banjar Valley of Kullu district — sitting at 2,250 metres where the Tirthan River bends and the deodar forests begin to close in. It sits at the edge of the Great Himalayan National Park buffer zone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which means the forests here are not managed for tourism. They are simply old, dense, and largely untouched.
From Jibhi, Jalori Pass is 13 km away — the highest motorable pass in this part of the district, and the starting point for treks to Serolsar Lake and Raghupur Fort. The village itself is small enough to walk end to end in twenty minutes, yet it draws travellers who stay for weeks. Slow travel, trout fishing, forest walks, and the particular silence of a place that has not yet decided to become a hill station.

Guest Stories
Heard from the Mountains
Winterfell is unlike any stay I've ever had in Himachal. Waking up to the sound of the Tirthan river, having a fireplace all to ourselves, watching snow fall on the cedar trees — it felt like stepping out of time. We'll be back every winter.
Completely private, completely quiet, completely magical. The forest is on all sides — we saw barking deer from the balcony on the second morning. The hosts thought of every little detail. This is the real Himachal.
Winterfell Tandi has the most breathtaking mountain view I have ever woken up to. The Kathkuni walls, the wood interiors, the silence at 4am — it's difficult to describe without sounding dramatic. Just go. You won't regret it.
